Pay it Forward:
Community Support Program!
In ancient times the role of a shaman or medicine woman was often one that was provided for free. In exchange, the local community housed, fed, and cared for the needs of their healer so that they could continue to offer their services unconditionally, while remaining fully resourced. No matter who needed support, it was offered no questions asked.
Our capitalist world was not designed for this type of mutual exchange, however I still believe in the power of community support. In fact, I believe in it so much I am initiating a new program that I hope can bring greater access to healing work within my wider community.
Ayni is the Quechua word for reciprocity, or an energetic exchange. Ayni never flows one way: it’s circular and always returns to us to maintain a divine balance. What is gifted and freely given with love always returns to us, even if it’s in a different form of exchange or at a different time. We all uniquely provide a service, skill, or gift to humanity. This is one way we create Ayni within our communities. For some, that’s financial exchanges for goods and services. For me, it's the healing work that I am honored to provide. For others it looks like contributing ideas, medicine, technology, art, music, beauty, love, healing, or other offerings that are held just as sacred.
Pay-it-Forward is a new program, providing access to life-changing, trauma-informed healing for those who need it, but are unable to afford the financial exchange in this moment. It’s a donation that supports people within the community who desperately need access to shamanic work and the clearing of deeply held trauma, while still providing an energetic and financial exchange for my services, even if someone cannot pay for it themselves. For anyone who finds that they happen to be experiencing an overflow of abundance in this moment, and wishes to provide financial Ayni for someone who cannot provide it themselves, I thank you.
Any amount helps to build greater access for those who need it: Let’s create a ripple effect of healing and hope for one another! This work truly takes a village and economic class is not something that should ever stand in the way of someone gaining access to this sacred work. Thank you for continuing to support my work, your community, and the global family!
